Every project starts with a short call to surface the assumptions I'm making about scope, audience, and tech. Naming them early is the cheapest form of risk reduction.

Build the smallest honest thing
I ship a first version small enough to be useful by one real person. Polished features come after the core flow proves out.

Instrument before optimizing
Performance work without measurement is theater. I add the dashboards and budgets before touching the hot path.

Hand it over cleanly
Code without docs is a hostage situation. I write the README, the deploy notes, and the maintenance plan before calling it done.
